Actual / Deviation / Consensus / Previous

For all economic calendar indicators, you will find the Previous number, which is the data from its last release. The release frequency varies depending on the indicator and may be monthly, quarterly, or another period.

For most indicators, we also add a Consensus number, which represents the general agreement of experts on the expected outcome.

When the Actual data is released, it is displayed immediately.

The US economic calendar is the most important one since the country has the largest economy in the world. The most important indicators mainly impact the price of the dollar and often affect other markets and currencies as well.

The organizations that publish the most meaningful indicators, and therefore carry the greatest market impact, include the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the US Bureau of Economic Analysis, the US Census Bureau, and the Energy Information Administration.

Of special interest are the Federal Reserve decisions, usually announced by Governor Jerome Powell.
